Sometimes it's so difficult to see that what you're looking for in a life partner is someone who's comfortable with who you are in all aspects - your character, your likes, your dislikes, your abilities, your strengths, your weaknesses and so on -  as opposed to someone who meets the specified (tick box) items on your eligibility checklist.
